ubio quickVET One Step NDV Ag Test Kit is a qualitative immunochromatographic assay for the detection of NDV antigen in avian secretions within just 10 minutes.

NDV, or Newcastle disease virus, is a contagious bird disease affecting many domestic and wild avian species. Its effects are most notable in domestic poultry due to their high susceptibility and the potential for severe impacts of an epidemic on the poultry industries. It is endemic to many countries. Human exposure can cause conjuctivitis and influenza-like symptoms.



ubio quickVET One Step NDV Ag Test is a lateral flow assay designed so that even a technician with limited expertise can perform the test easily. The veterinarian or the technician uses the swab supplied along with the kit to collect samples from cloaca or trachea. Altenatively, the serum can also be used. The swab is then inserted into the assay diluent and agitated sufficiently to ensure good sample extraction. 3 drops of the specimen is then added to the sample hole. Results can be read in just 5-10 minutes - the control line, marked C, should always appear if the test procedure is performed properly and the test reagents are working. The appearance of a red test line, marked T, indicates a positive result.



ubio quickVET One Step NDV Ag assay is available in 10-test packs. The packs contain swabs, droppers, sample collection tubes, centrifugal tubes and assay diluent required to perform the test. One test card can be used for screening one animal, and it is disposed after use.
