Kinfra Biotechnology Incubation Center, Kalamassery

Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Kinfra) has alloted 3000 square feet built-up space to ubio Biotechnology Systems Pvt. Ltd. at its Biotechnology Incubation Center at Kinfra Hi-tech Park, Kalamassery, Cochin. ubio proposes to set up its biochip manufacturing facility and R&D laboratory in this space, and construction is expected to start by end of April 2009.

Technopark Technology Business Incubator (T-TBI), a joint initiative of Technopark, Trivandrum, the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) has approved ubio Biotechnology Systems Pvt. Ltd. for inclusion in its technology incubation program. The approval was given by the T-TBI Expert Comittee Meeting for the evaluation and selection of start up ventures to T-TBI conducted on 20 January 2009. T-TBI provides incubatees with necessary infrastructure support, technology/ prototype development support, research assistance, help in getting funding, business consulting assistance etc.
