Ceftiofur Screening test card

ubio quickVET Ceftiofur Screening test is a lateral flow assay designed so that even a technician with limited expertise can perform the test easily. The veterinarian or the technician takes 1ml of the milk sample and drops it into a centrifuge tubr. The sample is rotated at 7000 rpm for around 3-4 minutes. A fat layer accumulates on the surface of the tube. A sucker is then inserted into the fat layer about 5mm below and defatted milk is extracted. 2-3 drops of the specimen is added to the sample hole, and the solution is allowed to flow laterally towards the other end. Results can be read in just 5-10 minutes - the presence of only one clear band, that in zone 'C', indicates a positive result. The presence of both the bands 'T' and 'C' indicates a negative result.
