ubio quickVET Aflatoxin B1 Lab Test Kit is a qualitative immunochromatographic assay for rapid detection of Aflatoxin B1 in the laboratory within just 8-12 minutes.Aflatoxins are potent toxic, carcinogenic, mutagenic, immunosuppressive toxins associated with various diseases affecting livestock, domestic animals and humans. Chilly powder, cattle feed, cereals, oilseeds, spices, and tree nuts are frequently affected with Aflatoxin B1.

ubio quickVET Aflatoxin B1 Lab Test is a lateral flow assay designed so that even a technician with limited expertise can perform the test easily. The veterinarian or the technician extracts 2ml of the supernatant liquid from the food/feed product using common lab chemicals. The dried component is dissolved at the bottom of the beaker with the assay dilution. Three drops of the sample is then added to the sample hole. Results can be read in just 8-12 minutes - the control line, marked C, should always appear if the test procedure is performed properly and the test reagents are working. A red test line, marked T, will be visible if the amount of Aflatoxin B1 present in the sample is less than the required cut-off limit. If Aflatoxin B1 is present at or above the cut-off limit, the test line does not develop, indicating a positive result.

ubio quickVET Aflatoxin B1 Lab Test assay is available in 10-test packs. The packs contain the sample collection tube and assay diluent required to perform the test. One test card can be used for screening one sample, and it is disposed after use.
