ubio quickVET Chloramphenicol Rapid Test Kit For Milk
is a qualitative immunochromatographic assay for the detection of Chloramphenicol in milk in just 5 min. Chloramphenicol is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used as a bacteriostatic antimicrobial. Usage above prescribed levels can be harmful for both the cattle and the humans consuming its milk. The most serious adverse effect in people is an irreversible suppression of the blood-forming cells (aplastic anemia).

ubio quickVET Chloramphenicol Rapid Test for Milk is a lateral flow assay designed so that even a technician with limited expertise can perform the test easily. The veterinarian or the technician collects 1ml of the sample using the pipette provided along with the test, drops it into a centrifuge tube and then rotates it at 7000 rpm for 3-4 min. A fat layer appears on the surface of the tube. A sucker is inserted through the fat layer about 5mm below and defatted milk is extracted. The extracted milk is poured into the micro well provided along with the test after tearing off its airproof film. The solution is sucked and extruded repeatly until all red materials adhered on the surface of inside wall and bottom are dissolved and mixed properly. 2-3 drops of the specimen is added to the sample hole. Results can be read in just 5 minutes - the control line, marked C, should be always appear if the test procedure is performed properly and the test reagents are working. The presence of only one clear band, that in zone “C”, indicates a positive result. The presence of clear bands both in zone “C” and zone “T” indicates a negative result. />
ubio quickVET Chloramphenicol Rapid Test assay is available in 10-test packs. The packs contain pipettes, micro wells, centrifugal tubes and desiccants required to perform the test. One test card can be used for screening one sample, and it is disposed after use.
