ubio quickVET Aflatoxin B1 Rapid Field Test Kit
is a qualitative immunochromatographic assay for rapid detection of Aflatoxin B1 in all food/feed products within just 5-10 minutes.
Aflatoxins are potent toxic, carcinogenic, mutagenic, immunosuppressive toxins associated with various diseases affecting livestock, domestic animals and humans. Chilly powder, cattle feed, cereals, oilseeds, spices, and tree nuts are frequently affected with Aflatoxin B1.

ubio quickVET Aflatoxin B1 Rapid Field Test is a lateral flow assay designed so that even a technician with limited expertise can perform the test easily. The veterinarian or the technician weighs out a 2gm portion of the food/feed product and adds it to the centifuge tube containing the extraction buffer. The tube is shaken vigorously after screwing the cap to mix the chilly powder with the buffer. The tube is then kept in a vertical position and the mix allowed to till the supernatant liquid is separated. 2ml of the liquid collected using the dropper(provided with the kit) and poured into the drying cup. It is then dried till no liquid is present. The diluent is added to the dried extract and allowed to dissolve. Using the dropper provided along with the test, 4-5 drops of the liquid is then added to the sample hole. Results can be read in just 5-10 minutes - the control line, marked C, should always appear if the test procedure is performed properly and the test reagents are working. A red test line, marked T, will be visible if enough Canine Distemper Virus antigen is present in the sample.

ubio quickVET Aflatoxin B1 assay is available in 5-test packs. The packs contain droppers, extraction buffer, drying cups and assay diluent required to perform the test. One test card can be used for screening one sample, and it is disposed after use.
